Enterprise Associate

We are seeking an Enterprise Associate to support the growth of our kitchen training program as well as our catering social enterprise. Our Enterprise Associate will be responsible for managing the New City Kitchen training cohorts and the catering orders for our catering social enterprise.

New City Kitchen (75%)

New City Kitchen Referral Process Management

  • Presenting to referring agencies about the benefits for clients to participate in New City Kitchen
  • Sending regular reminders to referring agencies about application deadlines
  • Sharing outcomes and success stories of clients with their referring agencies

New City Kitchen Employment Training Management

  • Staffing or ensuring staffing of presentations by New City staff and interns
  • Managing evaluation of training program by trainees – soliciting, entering and analyzing feedback for program improvement

New City Kitchen Graduate Case Management and Outcome Reporting Management

  • Meeting weekly with cohort graduates to provide case management around job search activities including creating action plans for employment applications, coaching and problem solving process with graduates
  • Quarterly follow ups with past New City Kitchen graduates to update New City Kitchen outcomes in data management system as well as during staff meetings

New City Kitchen Catering

  • Managing the front end customer service and order taking for our New City Kitchen social enterprise. (www.newcitykitchen.com)
  • Some administrative support for Kitchen Manager and Executive Director with New City Kitchen Marketing

Other Areas of Responsibility (25%)

  • The Enterprise Associate assists the Executive Director and Development and Communication Associate with preparation and execution of events such as Share the Love and the Race to End Child Homelessness.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director that are relevant to the mission and vision of New City Initiative.

A qualified candidate will have:
• Excellent communications skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Solid computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Be a team player

Additional Recommended Experiences/Skills
• Experience presenting or leading trainings and facilitating meetings.
• Experience working with those who have experienced homelessness
• Bi-lingual in Spanish

The position a full-time, salaried, 40 hour a week position. Salary Range: $23,000-$25,000 (commensurate with experience) and includes medical benefits, paid sick leave, vacation and nine holidays. Ability to telecommute every other Friday.
